The Meteorological Department has forecasted the arrival of two Western Disturbances (WDs) that will influence Jammu and Kashmir's weather patterns from the evening of January 1.
According to the Director of the MET Department, light snowfall is expected in parts of the region on January 1 and 2. This will be followed by a more significant weather system from January 3 to 6, which could bring moderate snowfall to several areas of Jammu and Kashmir.
Notably, the higher reaches of the region are likely to experience heavy snowfall on January 4 and 5. Residents and travelers are advised to stay updated on weather developments and take necessary precautions during this period.
